About Investment My approach

I'm madly in love with Caroline. It's all true. We met in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1999 and got married in her hometown of Hennebont in France four years later.

The international love affair had stints in London, Paris and the home counties of England before returning to sunny Northern Ireland in 2002.

That's when I realised I really, really loved taking pictures. My professional career began by shooting Irish landscapes and weddings through the years 2003-04.

In 2005 my work was exhibited in New York alongside that of famous American photographer Mary Ellen Mark and has since been shown and published in galleries and magazines around the world.

I'm a proud member of the photojournalist collective Lightstalkers, the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the British Professional Photographers Associates. I'm also a qualified member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association.

I love shooting weddings, most of all I love capturing real moments and delivering classic reportage to the couples I work with. I love creating photographs that are fun, fresh and vibrant and that will serve as precious memories for you in years to come.

Wedding photography has a timeless quality and I can't wait to capture your very own story.

I consider it to be a real privilege to take wedding photographs of such an important day in a couple's life together.

Every wedding is different and so I like to stay in the background and watch out for family interactions and those little moments that happen all the time. You can think of me as a creative observer.

I'm looking to capture photographs that reflect your vision of your wedding day: the relationships and the nuances of the personalities involved, the finer details of your dress, the wedding favours, the characters amongst your family and friends. I'm interested in documenting the romantic exchanges and the emotion that runs through the day.

I'll certainly cover the more 'formal portraits' of the wedding party but you'll probably find that this goes by very quickly. Last thing I want you to be doing is posing for hours. This leaves you with more time to get back to your wedding guests and mix and mingle, give kisses, receive hugs, laugh and cry.

I prefer the challenge of capturing these real moments as opposed to labouring any kind of a staged approach.

During the day I'll also try to get some time to photograph just the two of you. So we'll go off to a quiet place somewhere and I'll just hang back and let you have some quiet time together.

So wherever you want to go I hope you will get in touch, let me know the plans for your day and fill me in on your own story so far. I look forward to seeing you.
